When are you obliged to change to the right lane after an overtaking monoeuvre?

When are you obliged to change to the right lane after an overtaking monoeuvre?
aWhen I see the rear of the vehicle being overtaken in the right reverse mirror.
bWhen the overtaken vehicle is 100 m behind me.
cWhen i'm sure that there is no risk of "cutting in" on the vehicle being overtaking.

Why?

After overtaking, return to the right lane once you can do so without cutting in or forcing the overtaken driver to brake. The picture shows snow, reduced visibility and a car on the right, so leaving enough room is especially important. Neither seeing the vehicle's rear in the right mirror nor waiting for a fixed 100-metre gap replaces checking that the manoeuvre is safe.
