On which road does the driver have to keep a strict minimum distance from the preceding vehicle?

aOn the expressway.
bOn a dual carriageway road with at least two lanes dedicated to each direction of traffic.
cOn a single carriageway road outside a built-up area.

Why?

On an expressway or motorway, the minimum gap in metres to the vehicle ahead in the same lane is half the numerical value of your speed in km/h. At 100 km/h, this means at least 50 metres, but this rule does not apply while overtaking. The number of carriageways or lanes, or being outside a built-up area, does not by itself trigger this rule, so B and C are incorrect.
