At what speed is a passenger car permitted to travel on a motorway?
aAt a speed of not more than 140 km/h, while maintaining control of the vehicle and taking into account the prevailing traffic conditions.
bAt a speed of not less than 40 km/h, taking into account the prevailing weather conditions (blizzard, downpour, etc.).
cAt any speed that ensures control of the vehicle.
Why?
A passenger car may travel at up to 140 km/h on a motorway, unless signs impose a lower limit. The driver must also adjust speed to the conditions to remain in control of the vehicle. There is no general requirement to drive at least 40 km/h, and remaining in control does not permit exceeding the speed limit, so B and C are incorrect.
