If a vehicle becomes immobilised at a level crossing, should you remove it from the crossing immediately?

Why?

The tracks and St Andrew’s cross identify a railway crossing. If your vehicle becomes immobilised there, you must remove it from the crossing without delay to prevent a collision with a train. If removal is impossible, you must warn the train driver of the danger.
