Are you allowed to overtake the vehicle in front of you at the nearest intersection, while exercising utmost caution?

Why?

The A-5 crossroads warning sign indicates a junction of roads with equal priority. You must not overtake the car ahead at this junction because overtaking motor vehicles travelling on the carriageway is prohibited there. Taking extra care does not override that prohibition.
