You are driving a vehicle that is being overtaken. In this situation, are you prohibited from increasing your speed?
YES
NO
Why?
The car on your left is overtaking you. As the driver being overtaken, you must not increase your speed during the manoeuvre or immediately afterwards. Accelerating would make it harder for the other driver to complete the overtake safely.
