In exceptional circumstances, can an electric scooter rider use a pedestrian path?
YES
NO
Why?
Exceptionally, an electric scooter may use a pedestrian path alongside a road with a speed limit above 30 km/h. This is allowed only if there is no cycle path, shared pedestrian and cycle path, or cycle lane. The rider must travel at roughly walking speed, take particular care, give way to pedestrians and avoid obstructing them.
