Are you allowed to make a U-turn from the lane you are taking?

Why?

Your lane has a left-turn arrow, but there is another lane to your left. A left-turn road marking can also permit a U-turn only from the leftmost lane, provided no other restrictions apply. From your current lane, you may turn left but cannot make a U-turn.
