Are you obliged to stop your vehicle before the last car of a tram?

Why?

The tram is waiting at a red light before the junction, rather than serving passengers at a stop. The duty to stop for passengers applies when a tram arrives at or stands at a stop without a passenger island. You may therefore continue alongside the tram to the stop line at the traffic lights, but the red signal still requires you to stop there.
