What distance should you keep while passing another vehicle in a passenger car?
aSafe, but not shorter than 1.5 metres.
bSafe, dependent on the width of the road and traffic conditions.
cSafe, that is always the same.
Why?
When passing an oncoming vehicle, you must leave a safe lateral clearance appropriate to the width of the carriageway and traffic conditions. The rules specify neither a minimum of 1.5 metres nor a fixed clearance for every situation, so A and C are incorrect.
