You have been involved in a road accident as the driver of the vehicle. After administering first aid to the injured persons, are you allowed to leave the scene of the accident before the arrival of the police?

Why?

Helping the injured does not end your responsibilities, you must stay at the scene and wait for the police. The picture shows an overturned vehicle and a wrecked car, whose positions help establish how the accident happened. If leaving is necessary to call an ambulance or the police, you must return immediately afterwards.
