What is the purpose of using the ABS system in a passenger car?
aPreventing losing stability and ensuring steerability of the vehicle while braking.
bPreventing skidding - regardless of its speed and road conditions.
cFacilitating negotiating the bends.
Why?
ABS prevents the wheels from locking during braking, helping the car remain steerable and stable. It cannot prevent every skid regardless of speed and available grip. Making cornering easier is not its primary purpose.
