In what gear should you start driving on a dry surface?

aThe second.
bThe lowest.
cAny gear.
Why?
On a dry road, move off in the lowest forward gear, which is first gear on the gearbox shown. This provides strong driving force at the wheels and lets you move off without excessive clutch slip. Starting in second or another higher gear increases the risk of stalling and clutch wear, so the choice of gear is not arbitrary.
