What should you use as a dressing of severely-bleeding wounds?

aOnly sterile gauze.
bA pressure dressing of gauze, cloth and bandage.
cIodine and gentian.
Why?
Heavy bleeding is controlled by pressing on the bleeding site, and a pressure dressing helps maintain that pressure. The first-aid kit shown contains dressing materials that can be used for this purpose. Sterile gauze placed loosely over the wound does not provide sufficient pressure, while iodine and gentian violet are not treatments for stopping severe bleeding.
