Are you allowed to use the rear fog lights if the fog restricts visibility to a distance less than 50 m?

Why?

With visibility below 50 m as stated, you may switch on the rear fog lights. The photo shows fog, and once visibility improves to at least 50 m, you must switch these lights off immediately.
