aIf two children are transported in safety seats and it is impossible to install a third seat and the third child is over 3 years old.
bOnly if the third child is at least 100 cm tall.
cOnly if the third child is 15 years old.
Why?
The third child may travel in the rear using only a seat belt if they are at least 3 years old, the other two children occupy child seats there, and a third seat cannot be installed. This exception applies to passenger cars and to goods vehicles with a maximum authorised mass of up to 3.5 tonnes. Neither a height of 100 cm nor an age of 15 is a condition of this exception.
