Does the design of the barriers enable a vehicle to break through if it gets stuck on a level crossing between closed barriers?

Why?

Barrier arms are designed so that a vehicle can break through them in an emergency. If a working car becomes trapped between closed barriers, drive off the crossing immediately, breaking through a barrier if necessary.
