How long should you stabilize the head of a trauma patient manually?

aUntil they start to move.
bUntil it is taken over by a member of medical rescue team.
cUntil you ascertain the motility of their legs.
Why?
The photograph shows a rescuer supporting the person's head with both hands to limit neck movement and prevent further injury. Maintain this support until a member of the ambulance crew takes over. Being able to move the head or legs does not rule out a spinal injury and is no reason to release the support.
