Compression dressing should be applied in the case of:
acrushing of a limb.
bbloody ear drainage.
chaemorrhage.
Why?
A pressure dressing is used for severe bleeding from a wound because it maintains pressure and limits blood loss. A crushed limb without severe bleeding is not, by itself, a reason to apply one. Do not compress or plug an ear with blood-stained discharge; cover it loosely and call for medical help.
